Why is it important to learn about Lyme Disease?
Lyme Disease can be a very serious infection that mimics many diseases and conditions. Lyme Disease has no boundaries such as age, sex, ethnicity, or location and is on it’s way to become a major epidemic. The medical community does not genuinely recognize how serious Lyme Disease can be, therefore few knowledgeable doctors exist in our world. It is extremely important to educate yourself if you think you or a loved one may have contracted Lyme Disease.
The text book doctors and medical community believe Lyme Disease can be quickly treated after displaying the common “bulls-eye rash” by prescribing 3 weeks of Doxycycline. In some cases that may be true, but studies have suggested that most people never display the rash and Lyme Disease is like Chicken Pox, once you have it you will ALWAYS have it. Lyme Disease becomes dormant and the infected may not display symptoms again or their symptoms may come and go throughout life. This could be one reason why patients go on to be diagnosed with a more serious, medically documented condition later in life.
